Samsung Electronics launched its latest flagship tablet Galaxy Tab S6 in the Taiwan market, which will be available for NT$22,900 (US$729) starting September 16.

The Galaxy Tab S6 features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM, and supports HDR 10+ and optical fingerprinting.

According to Chen Zhimeng, with its Galaxy Tab A 10.1 and Tab A 8.0 product portfolio, Samsung’s tablet PC sales in Taiwan increased by 34.5% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2019, while the local industry’s average sales were 1.8%.

As more new tablets support mobile office applications, Taiwan’s sales of more than 15,000 new tablets increased 47% year-on-year between January and July. Overall, large-size tablets have become the mainstream in the local market. In the first seven months of this year, sales of Android tablets exceeding 10 inches increased by 27% year-on-year.
